meet the EXECUTIVE team
Founder of Agape Pamoja and Director of Family & Community Relations
Nathan Dunahee founded Agape Pamoja and serves as a key relational leader within the African refugee community in Kansas City. A professional civil engineer by trade, Nathan brings strong problem-solving skills, leadership, and cultural humility to every aspect of the organization.
Welcomed as an “adoptee” into the African community, Nathan acts as a bridge between refugee families, volunteers, and partner organizations. His thoughtful, relationship-centered approach helps equip families to navigate life in the United States while honoring the beauty and strength of their countries of origin.
CEO and Co-Founder of Agape Pamoja
Krystal’s passion for people, excellence, and spiritual formation guides the organization’s programs, events, and leadership development. She also serves on staff at Abundant Life Church in Lee’s Summit, bringing organizational insight and relational care to both ministries. As a mom of three teens/young adults, Krystal naturally connects with students and parents, making youth mentorship a meaningful and authentic part of her work in Kansas City.
Affectionately known as “Mama Kisu” by youth in the community, Krystal’s favorite moments are spent walking alongside students. As a first-generation American on her father’s side, she understands the joys and challenges of navigating dual cultures and brings that perspective into her leadership. Her desire is to help students and families experience growth, belonging, and the love of Jesus - pamoja.
Director of Project Management
Brent’s role as a Realtor with Exit Realty and his personal experience renovating his own home opened the door to serving with Agape Pamoja. A single volunteer project grew into a passion for acquiring, renovating, and maintaining Blessing Houses while developing students’ practical skillsets along the way.
Students are drawn to Brent’s steady mentorship, problem-solving mindset, and sense of humor, which make learning approachable. His presence helps young people believe it’s okay to try, make mistakes, and keep growing. Brent also serves as CEO of Agape Pamoja International, which oversees our work in Africa. This role is distinct from Agape Pamoja’s U.S.-based leadership and reflects his heart for building sustainable, empowering opportunities for families in Africa.
Director of Business Administration
As an Insurance Underwriter and Assistant Vice President with Chubb, Lindsay brings exceptional organizational skill, planning, and financial insight to her volunteer leadership with Agape Pamoja. Her strengths played a key role in building structure and clarity during the organization’s early years. Lindsay oversees Cam Twende and Twende Juu, monthly programs for children and middle school students that reflect her deep passion for helping youth know and love Jesus.
Known for her meticulous planning, she models how to faithfully serve while balancing family and a full-time career. Whether organizing city serve opportunities or opening her home for youth gatherings, Lindsay creates meaningful spaces for students to grow and thrive.
